Designed for Safety
Yale is famous for providing safe lift trucks that are adaptable and flexible for various tasks and applications. The ability to engineer and make units for enhanced safety comes from the new technology that is available in the company's experience and the material handling business.
In their latest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Several of the new technologies which are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company performs various controlled field tests and reliability development so as to ensure their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety consist of the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The ergonomics within the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions and exhaustion. These extra comforts help to increase overall efficiency.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Having adjustable operator's controls and compartments enables the necessary controls to be able to be positioned near a huge array of operators. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Prior to beginning their shift, the operator can make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation referred to as the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the machinery if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks which have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The LPG tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the center of the vehicle to the natural handling position of the operator that makes it way easier to change.
