Reach Truck
In order to keep storage areas tidy and to pile up pallets of goods and supplies, a reach truck could be used. The reach truck comes in quite a few types: the straddle reach, stand-up reach and the double-deep reach.
The simplest type is the stand-up. The forks of the truck slide underneath the pallet and move it to the appropriate storage location. The forks slide the pallet into place. This type of reach truck is suitable when shelving units are one pallet deep.
Ideal for workplaces where the shelving units are deep enough to have two pallets of goods, the double-deep reach truck, which is like the stand-up, is frequently utilized. This particular version has telescopic forks designed to place the pallet at the back of the shelving unit. This eliminates the need to push the pallet back when another pallet needs to go into the same shelving section.
The added advantage of straddle reaches is that they can both slide underneath the pallet and grasp the sides too. These are recommended for workplaces where shelving units could be accessed in multiple directions. This particular model is ideal in situations where goods would not be damaged if the pallet sides are grabbed.
Inside the majority of warehouses, there are normally more than one type of reach truck. Textile firms and manufacturing facilities utilize various kinds of reach trucks in their supply areas. The reach truck is not hard to operate and could make the most of available storage space while increasing production.
