The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and productivity.
