Combilift is a business that was originally founded by engineers Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. They had over 40 years of engineering experience between them when they initially founded the company during the year 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In only more than a decade, Combilift became a leader within the worldwide long-load handling market, delivering machines to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into numerous markets all around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have created machines which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of several of the Combilift units.
C-Series Combilifts are available in an array of mast options. Lift heights as much as nine meters and lift capacities as much as 25,000 kilograms are available. Available engines are in electric or battery, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts could work within 210 centimetres wide guided aisles.
Combilift Straddle Carriers provide the ability to move heavy, oversized cargo like fully loaded containers which weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads could be transported all over a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could lift fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from trailer to trailer, from the trailer to the ground or from the ground to the trailer. These kinds of machines are an effective, cost effective solution for numerous shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is much different compared to other side-loaders due to its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the right or on the left. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can help businesses in a lot of ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also enables the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable kind of truck is often considered to be a better choice as opposed to a lot of standard sit-down sideloaders due to the various added capabilities and features.
