Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, since 1962. Each day the company strives to help their consumers reach their goals and deliver value because they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Normally, these units are powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a really versatile equipment. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
The articulated boom lifts are used for jobs which need to reach up and over obstacles in order to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for jobs which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before operating boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require a lot more man hours to be completed in a much shorter time period. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
