Power
There are numerous types of forklifts which are operated by propane gas. Propane-powered forklifts are very simple to refill. The gas is stored inside a pressurized tank on the truck's back. The propane is pushed into the engine, where it is converted into vapor and afterward the vapor combines with air. The forklift throttle is used to control the flow of vapor. A spark plug ignites the air and vapor mixture producing pressure that makes the pistons move. The pistons run the hydraulic pump and turn the wheels.
Since the kinds of forklifts which are operated by propane have low emissions and are clean burning, they are suitable to be utilized in warehouses and other buildings.
Hydraulics
The forklift's hydraulic system is what allows it to raise and transport very heavy things from location to location. Tubes, cylinders and a pump make up the hydraulic system. The pump forces dense fluid in the tubing and into the cylinders. The pressure build up pushes a piston, that lifts the forks. When the forks are lowered by the operator, the hydraulic fluid flows out of the cylinders and back in the pump.
Steering
Where maneuverability is required, propane forklifts are the most suitable. Not like a car, a forklift makes use of its back wheels to pivot, which allows the forklift to quickly pivot on a tight radius.
